Happy November everyone! It’s that time again! This month I have quite the book for you! November is a month to settle down and cozy in for the winter so what better to read than a tear-jerking historical fiction novel that brings you ALL the feels.

“All The Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr is a bestselling novel based throughout Europe within the Nazi regime. This book is not your average WW2 story as it is told from the perspective of two children; one a blind girl who lives in France with her father, and one a young orphan boy who is forced into the Nazi party. This book has really interesting narratives as we get to see both sides of the war and we get to see from the perspective of a child who isn’t quite as aware of what is happening as an adult would be. Following this story you will be inspired and positive, you will hold out hope for these two young people. You will also feel heartbreak and shock as this novel feels probably pretty accurate to what living through this time period would feel like. This book is a bit of a longer read but I promise it is worth it. You will be rooting for both characters as you follow through their journey in their trying times.

To pair with this rather solemn book in this cozy season I suggest trying “Less is Norse” which is a deeper, denim color. Those who fear blue I urge you to be as brave as the children in this book and give it a try, you may discover a new favorite. This color has regularly been tested out by weary clients only to find that they LOVE it on. We can always try it out on one nail before curing it under the gel lamp to ensure you love the look of it on! We hope to see you soon so we can talk about this amazing book and get this deep, elegant color on you!
