MONICA
Monica is the Team Leader and Sole Owner of Brun Body Bar. Her contagious laugh and crazy curls immediately puts a smile on our clients’ faces, making her one of Victoria’s most favorite downtown business women. Raised in Squamish by an extremely entrepreneurial family, Monica immediately hit the ground running and has been the face of Brun in every way since. Self-taught and specializing in airbrush tanning, Monica’s committed approach to the art of spray tanning has revolutionized Victoria’s sunless tanning. Today, Brun clients continue to request Monica for the perfect Spray Tan. Monica is always energized and happy to spend the time with her returning clients.
WYLIE
Back from Maternity Leave, Katelyn Wylie is the Salon Director at Brun Body Bar. She will answer your phone call full of energy and greet you at the front with a warm smile to begin your Brun experience. You may not know her given name is Katelyn because Victoria calls her by her last name- Wylie. Wylie comes to us from the hospitality industry and has worked in restaurants her entire working career. From years of serving and restaurant management, Wylie loves making sure our clients are taken care of the moment she meets them. Stop by Brun and let Wylie be your host. TAYLOR
Esthetician. Currently on maternity leave. Specializing in Waxing and Lash Lifts + Tints, Taylor ensures the highest quality of service and professionalism. Visit Taylor at Brun for the perfect Brazilian Wax, beautifully lifted and tinted lashes or a flawless Manicure + Pedicure. Clients request Taylor because of her energy, contagious smile and attention to detail. As a client of Taylors, you can put your mind at ease and know that Taylor will take care of all your needs. Taylor moved to the island in 2013 and became a regular client at Brun for all her services. When Taylor isn’t perfecting her techniques, she is dedicated to getting outdoors, spending quality time with her partner and loves her coffee!
DANI
Dani is the Salon Coordinator at Brun Body Bar and comes from both a Hospitality and Performing Arts background. She spent her childhood on the mainland, in the Caribbean, and on Vancouver Island.
You’ll hear her smile through the phone and be met by her warmth (and curly mane!) when coming through the doors of Brun. When Dani isn’t greeting you in the salon, she’s likely working on a local theatre production, discovering the newest in skincare & beauty, or hanging around her backyard with her husband and their playful Bernedoodle, Christopher.
ANNIE
Esthetician. Annie truly takes care of her clients. She has continuous return clients for her Lash Lift + Tint treatments as well as Brun's Signature Pedicure! She gives the best leg and foot massage!
Born on the gorgeous Sunshine Coast, Annie moved to Victoria in 2010. After growing up in such a small town, it was the quaintness of the city of Victoria and the beauty of the island that drew her here. Annie has worked in the hospitality industry her entire working career and her love of customer service is what lead her to the world of Esthetics.
When Annie is not working she loves travelling, catching live local music, cooking for her friends and family and is known in Victoria for her cupcake creations!
DANIKA

Danika was born on the north end of the island. At the young age of 10, Danika knew she wanted to work in the beauty industry and would spend her summers working in her step mothers beauty Salon in Port Alice. After graduation, Danika moved up to Port Alice to work in the Salon she loved so much. In 2018 Danika moved back to Victoria and enrolled in Esthetics at the Academy of Excellence graduating with honours.
On Danika’s days off, she enjoys going on hikes and spending time with her family and friends.
ANITA
Nail Technician + Spray Tan Technician. At first a Brun client, Anita came to Brun with her love for the Brun community and her passion for all things nails!
Anita spent most of her childhood in the Comox valley. Anita has always been artistic by dancing for over 20 years to now mastering gorgeous nail art and Spray Tanning! Anita’s passion for nails truly shows in all her creative and talented Nail Art! AISHA
Nail Technician. Aisha is a true islander; born and raised on Salt Spring island. When it was time for Aisha to spread her wings, she moved to Montreal! After eight years in Montreal, Aisha moved back to the Island to live in beautiful Victoria.
Aisha came to Brun to learn Nails. Eager and ready to build her career, Aisha enrolled in Brun Body Bar’s Nail course as an apprentice. Her dedication to work and attention to detail, quickly made Aisha stand out among the Brun family.
When Aisha is not working, she is exploring the island with her dog, hiking, reading, or painting!
DONALD
Donald has had a passion for the hair and beauty industry for most of his life and has been a hair stylist for over 12 years. He trained at Marvel College in Edmonton, AB, where he earned his Journeyman Ticket and Real Seal. His experience working in various salons over the years has developed his technical and interpersonal skills. He specializes in cutting, coloring and extensions. His esthetic is natural, lived-in beautiful hair. Donald believes that education is important to stay current with the latest trends, services and products. Donald has attended many classes and workshops including Kevin Murphy, Redken, L’Oréal, Martin Parsons, Minxtensions, and Bumble and Bumble. He is passionate about making his clients’ look and feel their best. Come see Donald at Brun!
MARA
Esthetician. Mara is a Blanche Macdonald graduate, a college recognized worldwide and one of Canadas best beauty schools. Mara is passionate about enhancing your natural beauty. Some of Mara’s many specialties is a fluffy Brow Lamination! Her attention to detail in a beautiful eye opening Lash Lift and tint or a fast painless wax or a calming manicure will have you coming back to see Mara over and over. To give you the best service ever, Mara is continuously growing her portfolio and educating herself on new techniques.
In her time outside of esthetics, Mara loves snuggling up with her cat while reading, or hiking with her pup in the gorgeous outdoors of Vancouver Island. Mara comes to us from the Kootenay’s and is enjoying the Island Life!
